Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor in Madrid to lead a luxury team and uphold the brand’s ultra-luxury service standards.

The role requires 3+ years in luxury hotels, direct supervisory experience, and fluency in Spanish and English. Proficiency in MS Office and OPERA/OPERA Cloud + HUB is preferred, with rotating shifts Monday through Sunday.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be fluent in Spanish and English at a high level.
• Certificate of Professional Competence in Basic Floor and Accommodation Operations (HOTA 0108) or equivalent.
• 3+ years total experience in a luxury hotels environment.
• Direct supervisory experience over a Housekeeping team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Experience with OPERA/OPERA Cloud + HUB or similar systems would be an advantage.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, Monday to Sunday.

• Lead and supervise housekeeping team to deliver luxury service.
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Utilize MS Office tools for reporting and scheduling.
• Adhere to brand standards and safety procedures.

What we need from you

• Excellent communication and strong interpersonal strong skills
• Business language and tools acumen
• Certificate of Professional Competence in Basic Floor and Accommodation Operations (HOTA 0108) or equivalent experience demonstrating the knowledge required for the role.
• 3+ years total experience in a luxury hotels enviroment
• Direct supervisory experience over a Housekeeping team, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Must speak local language- Spanish and English in a high level is a MUST
• Position may have additional qualifications per brand standard
• Knowledge and experience in the laundry/linen department would be an advantage.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Strong focus on luxury and ultra-luxury customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
• Experience with OPERA/OPERA Cloud + HUB or similar operating systems would be an advantage
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, Monday to Sunday, excluding days off
