Job summary

Johnson Regional Medical Center in Galicia seeks a full-time Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness across the hospital, Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Duties include cleaning patient rooms, nursing units, offices, and clinical areas according to policies and procedures.

You will participate in performance improvement activities, follow infection prevention practices, and report safety hazards while ensuring patient confidentiality and a safe, sanitary environment.

Qualifications

• Preferred high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred 1-3 months related experience and/or training.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge or familiarity with hospital systems.

Responsibilities

• Cleans all areas of the hospital according to policies and procedures.
• Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, and clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways.
• Completes work assignments in a timely manner.
• Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and reports safety hazards as appropriate.
• Maintains infection prevention and control practices, including hand hygiene, and preserves patient confidentiality.
