Job summary

Nippon Sanso Europe is seeking a Project Manager Europe R&D to lead research and development projects from concept to execution in Madrid. You will drive innovation initiatives on time and within budget, coordinating cross functional teams across engineering, operations, product management, and external partners.

The role requires a strong R&D and project management background, excellent communication with senior leaders, and the ability to translate technical topics into business terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, chemistry, physics, materials science, industrial technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Several years of experience in R&D, technology development, engineering, product development, or technical project execution.
• Experience with structured project management methodologies and stage-gate processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage R&D projects across the full lifecycle from ideation to handover.
• Define scope, milestones, resources, risks, and success criteria aligned with strategy.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across R&D, engineering, operations, and external partners.
• Ensure stakeholder communication through updates, risk reviews, and executive reporting.
• Identify and mitigate technical, commercial, operational, safety, and regulatory risks.
