Job summary

Arch Underwriters Europe Limited is seeking a nearly qualified or qualified Actuary to support European pricing across Property, Casualty, Marine and other specialty classes. The role works with underwriting teams in Paris, Madrid and Milan and with pricing colleagues in London and Dublin.

Supported by Arch's London Pricing Centre of Excellence, you will localise pricing capabilities, bring market insights into model development and help optimise profitability across Arch’s European markets.

Qualifications

• Nearly qualified or qualified Actuary.
• Minimum 5 years in General Insurance.
• Experience in specialty pricing is beneficial, but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Desirable proficiency in additional European languages (FR/ES/IT).

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and localise pricing models and tools for Arch’s European branches.
• Provide actuarial support for underwriters on account pricing, including complex risks.
• Monitor pricing for renewals and new business; implement improvements with underwriting teams.
• Provide MI insights and portfolio trends to management for decision making.
• Collaborate with reserving, pricing and underwriting teams on plans and forecasts.
