Job summary

Freenow by Lyft in Barcelona seeks a strategic Sustainability Manager to lead Europe-wide regulatory strategy, carbon accounting, and data management. You will shape the sustainability roadmap, ensure compliance with CSRD/CSDDD, and collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Real Estate to embed ESG into European decisions.

You will build scalable data processes, manage reporting to CDP and EcoVadis, and engage stakeholders across markets to advance decarbonization.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years in sustainability, strategy, or business development.
• Proven multi-stakeholder project management experience.
• Hands-on data management and carbon accounting experience.
• Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks (TCFD, CDP, EcoVadis).
• Strong understanding of EU/UK sustainability laws incl. CSRD/CSDDD.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own Europe sustainability implementation and roadmap.
• Monitor EU regulatory landscape and translate for the business.
• Partner with Legal to interpret regulations and assess impact.
• Lead carbon accounting across Europe and manage data systems.
• Design and launch structured, repeatable project management processes.
• Manage sustainability reporting for European stakeholders (CDP, EcoVadis).
• Prepare insights for senior leadership on sustainability risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Real Estate, Procurement, B2B, and Global Growth.
