Job summary

Freenow by Lyft in Barcelona is seeking a Sustainability Manager to lead strategy implementation and regulatory reporting for Europe. You will own the EU compliance roadmap (CSRD, CSDDD, TCFD), drive data collection and carbon accounting, and partner with Legal, Finance, and Real Estate to embed sustainability across European operations.

The role builds infrastructure, scales processes, and supports senior leadership with insights on risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years of experience in sustainability, strategy, or business development roles, with a track record of independently owning outcomes.
• Hands‑on experience with data management and carbon accounting, using data to inform strategy and decision‑making.
• Experience with sustainability reporting and disclosure frameworks such as TCFD, CDP, and EcoVadis.
• Strong understanding of EU and UK sustainability laws and regulations, including CSRD and CSDDD.

Responsibilities

• Own Lyft Europe’s sustainability implementation and roadmap, ensuring alignment with global sustainability goals and evolving EU regulatory requirements (CSRD, TCFD, and related frameworks).
• Monitor the EU regulatory landscape for emerging sustainability requirements and translate them into actionable business recommendations.
• Lead carbon accounting efforts across Lyft Europe, including data collection, decarbonization target progress, and identification of reduction opportunities.
• Manage Lyft’s sustainability reporting and disclosure processes for European stakeholders, including requirements for CDP, EcoVadis, and enterprise client requests.
