Formación

Responsibilities
  • The Sr. Business Analyst is the team member responsible for the timely daily support of business continuity operations.
  • Serve as Horizon super-user, working side-by-side with users in testing, troubleshooting, and training.
  • Builds relationships with business users to ensure clear and accurate understanding of all business processes.
  • Provides level 1 and 2 user support for Horizon and integration with external and corporate systems.
  • Configuration and maintenance tasks specific to all commodity activity.
  • Accountable for analysis and resolution of support tasks related to systems.
  • Acts as a liaison between the business and all other corporate functions regarding systems integration and support.
  • Assist functional area to define, develop, and maintain business processes for the organization.
  • Support corporate areas including Internal Audit, External Auditors and Process Compliance by creating ad-hoc data extracts and queries and fulfilling data requests.
  • Develop and maintain detailed procedures for primary processes in Horizon (contract administration, deal entry, scheduling, valuation, accruals, actualization, invoicing, risk reporting, etc.).
  • Assist users with Horizon and system integration usage and issue identification/classification.
  • Develop functional requirements for improvements and enhanced system capabilities, as needed.
  • Participate as a project manager for special projects that further enhance the system landscape for the business.
  • Facilitate end user acceptance testing.

You will fit the position if:

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience providing support for ETRMs as well as extensive working knowledge of the Natural Gas trading industry
  • Extensive working knowledge of the Horizon platform
  • In-depth understanding of natural gas deal entry, scheduling, hedging, risk and management reporting, credit operations, confirmations, clearing administration, month-end accruals, settlements, payment & collection, and internal policy compliance.
  • Solid experience with Front to Back energy trading internal controls, process design and documentation, process testing/audit, and process improvements; Ability to identify and understand various risks and then design and implement relevant processes/controls to mitigate them.
  • Extensive working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Azure DevOps.
  • The legal authorization to work in the US for anyone other than current employer.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Math, Accounting, Finance or Business-related degree.
  • Experience using the Horizon ETRM system for Natural Gas, Power and LNG
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Experience utilizing project management principles.
  • Experience utilizing proven Business Analyst principles.
  • Working knowledge of either Power BI or Tableau for visualization reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Python
