McKinsey & Company is seeking an analyst practitioner to join their Capital Analytics team in Madrid. You will utilize analytical tools to develop cost models, support project execution, and enhance decision-making for major capital projects.
Candidates should have a relevant degree and at least one year of experience with construction estimating software. Strong quantitative and interpersonal skills are essential, along with excellent communication abilities.

You will work in teams as an analyst practitioner to solve pressing and complex issues at clients through deploying estimating and other analytical tools to develop construction should cost models, as well as support the development of new proprietary tools, benchmarking databases and market perspectives.
You will often work in teams of typically 3‑5 consultants, playing an active role in client engagements. This includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing communication and recommendations. You’ll also present results to client management and implement recommendations in collaboration with client team members.
You’ll focus on building and scaling analytical solutions used for engagement across portfolio optimization, project development and value improvement, project execution, cost and schedule diagnostic. You will prepare detailed cost estimates and budget forecasts for large‑scale capital projects using advanced software tools and internal proprietary databases.
You will contribute to the firm’s industry knowledge by staying up to date with the latest in the capital projects industry and you will contribute to proprietary models and analyses. This includes gathering the information necessary to develop these tools and synthesizing your findings into formatted products. These products may be in the form of complex models and summary reports, which evolve into standalone presentations that outline key findings and recommendations to internal and external audiences.
