Placements24 is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Raw Materials and Supplies Purchases Specialist to join the procurement team in León, Guanajuato, MX. This role focuses on acquiring raw materials and essential supplies for manufacturing, negotiating favorable terms and managing supplier relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, market awareness, and a commitment to cost-effectiveness and supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2-4 years of procurement experience preferred, especially with raw materials or industrial supplies.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Familiarity with procurement software and ERPs.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of raw materials, components, and operational supplies.
• Identify potential suppliers, conduct RFPs/RFQs, and evaluate suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contracts to achieve cost savings.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with production, planning, and quality control to forecast needs and manage inventory.
• Maintain procurement records and data integrity in the ERP system.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify process improvements and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Resolve supplier performance, quality, or delivery issues.
