EDP Renewables in Madrid is offering an Environmental Management Intern position within our Environmental Management unit. You will support ESG reporting, data management, and biodiversity metrics while gaining hands-on experience in environmental data analysis.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree or masters in environment, have knowledge of GIS and Power BI, and can work independently and in a team, with strong English skills.

• Support digitalization initiatives and AI-enabled solutions for data management.
• Prepare summaries, technical reviews and benchmark analyses for sustainability topics.

Our Environmental Management unit intends to recruit an Environmental Management Intern.

What you will do:

ESG Reporting & Environmental Data Management:

• Support environmental reporting processes and data collection activities.
• Support data consistency, traceability and reconciliation reviews across multiple systems and databases.
• Support the organization, maintenance and continuous improvement of environmental datasets, data models and reporting tools.

Environmental & Nature Data Analysis:

• Support the analysis and monitoring of environmental and sustainability performance indicators.
• Assist in the development, calculation and review of biodiversity and nature-related metrics.
• Contribute to environmental and nature-related risk and opportunity assessments.
• Support research, benchmarking and information gathering on biodiversity, environmental compliance, sustainability requirements and emerging environmental topics.
• Collaborate in the maintenance and improvement of dashboards, databases and environmental management tools.

Digitalization, Automation & AI:

• Support process improvement and digitalization initiatives.
• Contribute to the automation of recurring tasks, reporting activities and information flows.
• Explore and test AI-enabled solutions to improve environmental data management, reporting and analysis.

Knowledge Management & Team Support:

• Prepare summaries, technical reviews and benchmark analyses on environmental and sustainability topics.
• Support the preparation of presentations, reports and working materials for different projects and initiatives.
• Assist in documenting methodologies, procedures, workflows and project outcomes.
• Contribute to communication and awareness activities related to environmental management and sustainability.

What are we looking for:

• Degree or masters' degree in environment or similar
• Knowledge in GIS.
• Knowledge in data analysis and integration tools.
• Knowledge of Power BI will be positively valued.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, hardworking, responsible and with communication skills.
• Proficiency in English.
