This position is responsible for providing systems engineering support for Company clients in a 24X7 service organization.

The principal duties and responsibilities of the Senior Systems Engineer are:

• Act as a lead customer issue resolution engineer and take ownership of all assigned tickets.
• Have experience in Knowledge Transitions and work as a customer lead; take ownership of all assigned Project work.
• Assisting the Project Manager by providing a technical project coordination role.
• Liaise with relevant support teams for all clients to ensure they are informed about relevant progress and issues relating to Unix servers that are to be handed over for server management to ensure a smooth transition.

Overall 8 to 12 years of Unix System Administration Experience, at least 7 of which should be in an AIX environment. Strong experience in interfacing with external devices such as Storage, Networking and backup devices. Capability to plan and execute UNIX Security. Strong concepts of networking like TCP/IP. Knowledge of Loading of software, Networking, TCP/IP, NFS, NIS & DNS.

Engineering Degree from a Premier Institute (Electronics, Computer Science etc.).
