We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. The Data Center Engineering Operations Technician is a hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder. If you like to use your electrical and mechanical skills to solve problems, we\'d like to meet you. Your work will help to maintain one of the world\'s largest information system infrastructures.

Responsibilities
  • SAFETY: Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. As a facility owner team, ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture.
  • ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE: Operational experience and familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), and Transformers.
  • Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
  • Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.).
  • Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance.
Physical requirements
  • Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations).
  • Ability to work shifts (morning, late and night).
  • Work at heights and from ladders; in a noisy environment with ear protection.
  • Perform physical tasks during the shift.
