DKB Code Factory GmbH in Valencia is seeking a hands-on engineering leader to build and grow a six-engineer frontend team across web, iOS and Android, delivering secure, reliable premium card-management experiences.

You will shape frontend architecture, establish delivery cadences, coach platform owners, partner with Product and QA, and drive measurable customer impact while maintaining strong security and accessibility standards.

• Demonstrated people leadership of a software product team, including hiring, coaching and performance accountability.
• Strong engineering background in modern web frontend or mobile engineering with architecture and code-review experience.
• Track record delivering customer-facing digital products with Product, Design and QA partners.
• Experience coordinating dependencies and technical contracts across locations.
• Understanding of secure software delivery, test automation, observability, accessibility and release management.
• Proficiency with agile delivery tools and collaborative documentation workflows (Jira, Confluence, Figma).
• Professional English skills.

Responsabilidades

• Build, hire and onboard a six-engineer cross-platform frontend team (web, iOS, Android) and create staffing clarity.
• Define and operate the team’s engineering operating model: code-review standards, CI/CD, testing, accessibility, security, release discipline.
• Partner with Product, Design, QA and backend owners to sequence cross-channel delivery and API contracts.
• Delegate technical authority and coach platform owners, ensuring decisions stay within the team.
• Drive delivery of the first card-management tranche to production and establish cadence.
• Set measurable quality thresholds and lead incident learning and continuous improvement.
• Develop engineers through regular 1:1s and growth plans; build bench strength for platforms.

Lead and grow a Valencia-based frontend product engineering team to deliver secure, reliable and coherent premium card-management experiences across web, iOS and Android. This role combines hands‑on technical leadership, people development and delivery ownership—you will hire and coach platform owners, shape frontend architecture and establish predictable delivery practices that enable measurable customer impact and future premium-card capabilities.

Your responsibilities

• Build, hire and onboard a six-engineer cross-platform frontend team (web, iOS, Android) and create clear platform staffing and backup coverage.
• Define and operate the team’s engineering operating model: code-review standards, CI/CD, automated testing, accessibility, security, observability and release discipline.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, QA and backend owners (Valencia and Berlin) to sequence cross-channel delivery, agree API contracts and remove dependency risks.
• Delegate technical authority by nominating and coaching platform owners; ensure routine technical decisions are made within the team rather than being bottlenecked by the EM.
• Drive the delivery of the first card-management tranche to production and establish a predictable planning and release cadence.
• Set measurable quality thresholds (stability, escaped defects, automated coverage, accessibility) and lead incident learning and continuous improvement efforts.
• Develop engineers through regular 1:1s, feedback, growth plans and performance management; build bench strength and succession coverage for each active platform.

Following qualifications

• Demonstrated people leadership of a software product team, including hiring, coaching, feedback and performance accountability.
• Strong engineering background in modern web frontend or mobile engineering (iOS and/or Android) with evidence of staying technically close (architecture, design reviews, code reviews).
• Track record of delivering customer-facing digital products in partnership with Product, Design and QA.
• Experience coordinating dependencies and technical contracts with backend/platform teams across locations.
• Practical understanding of secure software delivery, test automation, observability, accessibility, release management and incident learning.
• Proficiency with agile delivery tools and collaborative documentation workflows (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Figma).

Nice-to-have

• Experience in banking, cards, payments, identity, insurance or other regulated consumer products.
• Experience leading delivery across multiple platforms (web, iOS and Android) and establishing platform ownership models.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted engineering or developer-productivity tooling.
• German or Spanish language skills and international or cross-site leadership experience.
