Auctane is seeking an Engineering Manager in Madrid to lead a multi-member team and deliver high-quality software. You will define architectures, drive cloud-native solutions on AWS, and mentor engineers across the lifecycle.

You will champion best practices, automate tests, and ensure timely delivery while collaborating with stakeholders and improving processes. A hybrid Madrid office is offered.

Formación

• Extensive experience in designing, building, and deploying solutions in AWS with a focus on quality.
• Designing and delivering low-latency, high-throughput API systems using Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Programming polyglot with Agile, Lean, and DevOps methodologies, leading project execution.
• Writing automated tests (unit, integration, etc.), pairing, enhancing code quality, and CI are part of your DNA.
• Proven experience in an OO language, framework, or platform.
• Experience in CI/CD and cloud infra automation using Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
• Belief in Continuous Delivery to deliver value to clients.
• Full ownership of the product lifecycle including code, infrastructure, and on-call support.
• Willingness to learn new languages or technologies and balance deadlines with quality.

• Ensure code quality and functionality through production.
• Uphold processes, projects, and systems quality as agreed by the team.
• Define service features and components under the team’s responsibility.
• Improve team performance by introducing new processes and best practices.
• Communicate progress, achievements, and improvements to team and management.
• Serve as a technical authority and mentor developers.
• Lead discussions on architecture and design strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to manage priorities and action plans.
• Monitor team engagement and well-being; resolve performance challenges.
• Support development and career growth of team members.
• Participate in recruitment processes.
• Advocate for business and technical decisions within the team.
