Monzo in Barcelona seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a senior engineering team, partner with product, design and data, and own delivery across squads. You will coach and develop engineers, set strategy, and raise engineering standards in a cross-functional, mission-driven environment.

Hybrid role with 3 days in the office; base salary depends on experience, plus incentive awards and benefits. Barcelona, Spain-based, with a learning budget and flexible working hours.

Formación

• Has led user-facing mobile products or platforms and can discuss impact on product strategy and roadmapping.
• Excellent ownership mindset and ability to drive business outcomes.
• Clear vision of high-performing engineering teams and a plan to reach it.
• Comfort with ambiguity and high degree of autonomy.
• Bonus if experience in experimentation-led environments.
• Delivery experience and ability to guide squads to outcomes.
• Focus on outcomes over process and empowering teams to decide.

Responsabilidades

• Leading a high performing, senior team of engineers; coaching and developing them.
• Partnering with Product, Design, Research, and Data to set strategy and goals.
• Taking accountability for delivery across squads; collaborating with Tech Leads and PM.
• Raising the bar for engineering excellence within teams.
• Drive technical initiatives with senior engineers to improve practices.
• Lead communication with stakeholders and create focus space for engineers.
• Collaborate with the wider engineering org on managerial and technical standards.
