Flywire is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead high-impact teams advancing the core payments architecture. You will balance strategic technical vision with exceptional people leadership, acting as a player-coach to drive automated, scalable, global payment processes.

You’ll guide teams across distributed systems, leveraging AI to enhance compliance and risk mitigation, while partnering with Product, QA and SRE to deliver on strategic roadmaps.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience managing and mentoring engineering teams with hiring experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering focusing on high-availability distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with payment platforms, gateways or fintech products is preferred.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and communicate complex tech topics clearly.

Responsabilidades

• Lead high-impact teams evolving Flywire’s core payment architecture.
• Balance technical vision with people leadership, driving automation of complex processes.
• Integrate AI-driven advancements to scale distributed systems handling large volumes.
• Provide long-term technical direction for reliable, scalable infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Product, QA and SRE to align roadmaps with business goals.
• Establish design reviews and governance including TDD and CI/CD.
