Flywire is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead high-impact teams focused on evolving our core payments architecture. You will balance technical vision with people leadership, acting as a player-coach to automate complex global payment processes and scale resilient, distributed systems that handle hundreds of millions daily.

You will guide architecture, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, QA, and SRE teams to align initiatives with business goals across a global organization.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience managing and mentoring engineering teams, with performance management.
• Proven ability to align teams with strategic direction and business trends.
• Strong communication skills to engage with senior leaders and non-technical partners.
• Experience building or supporting high-availability distributed systems in production.

Responsabilidades

• Strategic Oversight: lead specific teams and set priorities aligned with functional strategy.
• Team Development: manage performance, develop skills, and hire to grow capability.
• Resource Allocation: plan daily operations and support multiple product lines.
• System Evolution: guide architecture for reliable, scalable distributed systems.
• AI & Automation: design workflows using AI to improve compliance and risk management.
• Quality Governance: enforce design reviews, TDD, and CI/CD practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: align roadmaps with Product, QA, and SRE to outcomes.
• Global Influence: build relationships with stakeholders across Flywire’s network.
