Job summary

SPD Technology seeks an Engineering Manager, Applied AI & ML Engineering to lead a cross-functional team of MLE and MLOps engineers. You will oversee capacity planning, staffing, and delivery across multiple AI/ML initiatives, while coaching engineers and aligning with project leads and product partners.

You will foster career growth, manage risks, and ensure effective collaboration in a flexible, remote-friendly environment, with focus on high performance and impactful AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in software engineering, AI/ML, or related field.
• Minimum three years in people management, engineering management, or technical program leadership.
• English – Upper Intermediate or higher; Ukrainian – fluent.

Responsibilities

• Manage resource allocation and capacity planning across AI/ML projects and commitments.
• Partner with leads to create realistic delivery plans, milestones and staffing models.
• Maintain a clear view of project progress, dependencies and risks.
• Resolve delivery blockers and cross-team dependencies.
• Coach engineers through regular one-to-one meetings and career discussions.
• Support performance reviews, promotions, and compensation processes.
