Thales is seeking an Engineering Delivery Manager in Madrid to lead delivery teams in a challenging, multinational environment. You will deploy mature delivery practices, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with stakeholders across programs and bids.

Fluency in English and Spanish is essential, French is a plus. You will manage staffing, develop people, and ensure risk-aware execution while aligning with strategic objectives.

Formación

• Master of Engineering or Computer Science required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering management or related roles.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• French is valuable.
• Ability to lead technical teams and manage stakeholders.
• Ability to verify and guide delivery against requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Deploy practices and tools to reach project delivery maturity.
• Lead discipline delivery team to improve efficiency and identify gaps.
• Capitalize and share delivery know-how and assets.
• Manage and develop people and allocate to projects.
• Lead staffing for Delivery Lead roles per requests.
• Represent the CC in project reviews.
• Review engineering deliverability for bids (strategy, schedule, risk, etc.).
• Contribute to bids and product reviews to reduce risks.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager or Talent Acquisition for other tasks.

Engineering Delivery Management Role

Due to increased business activity, we are seeking an Engineering Delivery Management Role. As part of, you will be responsible for:

• Deploy adequate Practices and Tools tailored (for SEM and WPM) to reach the required maturity according to Project/Product delivery challenges
• Work with the discipline delivery team to make them efficient, identify gaps and associated actions to support delivery continuous improvement
• Capitalize and share knowledge and assets dedicated to delivery discipline
• Manage, develop people/skills & allocation to products/projects
• Take in charge Delivery Lead Staffing (SEM, WPM, Tribe Leader, Chief Product Owner) on project/product with respect to PPM/PMs’ requests
• Represent the CC in project reviews
• Reviews of ‘Engineering Deliverability’ for bids (engineering strategy & plan, schedule, solution maturity, risk reduction & risk mitigations, acceptance strategy, certification, resourcing, E2 strategy, estimates, contingency)
• Contribute on Bids/Products and Projects peer reviews to reduce engineering risks and increase confidence to deliver
• Other specific info - to be filled in by Engineering Manager or Talent Acquisition

Requirements

• You graduated with a Master of Engineering or Computer Science or in University
• You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience among the following positions: Engineering Manager, IT / Technical Project Manager, or Software Engineering Manager (SwEM)
• English and Spanish high level is a must
• You want to lead a technical team in a challenging environment
• You want to delight your customers and build strong relationships
• You are willing to engage and develop your team using collaborative work and challenging approaches
• You believe in continuous improvement and work accordingly
• You sound convincing and persuasive
• French is valuable
• You know how to verify the technical deliverables of engineering teams (customer needs, OCD, requirements, architecture choice…)
• You are able to lead and manage technical engineering projects, meeting the requirements with a clear view of the risks and opportunities
• You are able to engage and influence a diverse set of stakeholders as well as creating clear and achievable goals
• You are able to take decisions–even in uncertain contexts
