Galderma seeks a Process Engineer/ Scientist to join the Injectable Platform Technology & NPI team in Uppsala, Sweden. You will support the transfer of new injectable products from development to manufacturing, ensuring platform standards and GMP compliance.

The role involves close collaboration with Product Science, Manufacturing Science & Technology, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and external manufacturers to drive technology transfer, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or another relevant scientific discipline
• 2–5 years of experience within injectable medical device, pharmaceutical, or biopharmaceutical industry
• Experience with injectable Semi-Finished Product (SFP) and/or Drug Product manufacturing
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, ISO standards, and GMP guidelines
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Engineer, Injectable Platform Technology & NPI

Location: Uppsala, Sweden

At Galderma, we are dedicated to advancing dermatology for every skin story. We are now looking for a talented and motivated Process Engineer / Scientist to join our Injectable Platform Technology & NPI team in Uppsala.

Reporting to the Head of Injectable Platform Technology & NPI, you will play an important role in supporting the introduction, transfer, and commercialization of innovative injectable products. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of development and manufacturing, collaborating with global cross-functional teams to bring new products from concept to commercial reality.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will support the successful transfer of new injectable products from development into commercial manufacturing, while ensuring that the injectable platform standards and best practices are applied. You will contribute to process optimization, validation, technology transfer activities, and manufacturing readiness, ensuring robust and compliant production processes. The role also expands into building, applying and maintaining a platform approach for injectable products, as well as supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You will serve as a technical expert for manufacturing processes, supporting internal and external manufacturing sites throughout product launch activities. The role involves preparing and reviewing technical documentation, validation protocols, reports, and regulatory submissions while ensuring compliance with GMP requirements and applicable regulatory and platform standards.

Working closely with colleagues across Product Science, Manufacturing Science & Technology, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and external manufacturing partners, you will help address technical challenges, manage risks, support project execution, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will also contribute to platform standardization efforts and support the successful delivery of key project milestones.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or another relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
• Approximately 2–5 years of experience within the injectable medical device, pharmaceutical, or biopharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with injectable Semi-Finished Product (SFP) and/or Drug Product manufacturing.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, ISO standards, and GMP guidelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in process validation, technology transfer, commercialization, manufacturing support, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) and external stakeholders.
• Experience with device assembly, including autoinjectors, and packaging processes.
• Experience working in GMP and/or ISO-regulated environments.
• Knowledge of quality systems and risk management tools such as deviations, change controls, CAPA, and FMEA.
• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
