YOA Yacht Crew is seeking an experienced Engineer to join a 60m motor yacht for a winter shipyard refit in Barcelona. The role supports the Chief and 2nd Engineers, with hands-on duties across systems stripping and generator installation.

Ideal candidates have a Marine Engineering background and hands-on superyacht experience, and are based in Barcelona or willing to relocate for the dry-dock period. Start date is 1st October.

Formación

• Background in Marine Engineering.
• Hands-on shipyard experience preferred.
• Experience on superyachts is a plus.
• Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate for dry-dock work.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Chief and 2nd Engineers during the refit.
• Support stripping out systems and installation of generators.
• Troubleshoot and solve on-deck and engine-room issues.
• Be hands-on and eager to learn during the major works.

Great opportunity for an experienced Engineer to join a 60m MY for an exciting shipyard refit this winter.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Engineer who is hands-on and willing to assist the Chief and 2nd Engineers throughout a major refit period in Barcelona.

Open to candidates with a Marine Engineering background who are looking to gain further experience working on superyachts.

This role would suit someone keen to get stuck in and gain plenty of hands-on experience, as the boat will be undertaking significant works, including stripping out systems, installing generators and more. Someone who is eager to learn, can problem-solve and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty will thrive in this role.

This position would best suit someone already based in Barcelona, as accommodation will not be provided as the boat is in dry dock.

$5000 - $6000 DOE.

Start date 1st October.

Candidates in Barcelona preferable.
