A renewable energy firm in Madrid is seeking a professional to design measurement campaigns and perform energy yield assessments for wind and solar projects. The ideal candidate will have a B.Sc. in Physics or Engineering, knowledge of AutoCAD and wind/solar software, and be fluent in Spanish with upper-intermediate English. We specialize in providing integrated solutions across the entire lifecycle of clean energy, from the promotion, development, and construction of wind farms, photovoltaic plants, and hydroelectric power stations, to their operation, maintenance, and the sale of the generated clean energy. Currently, Elawan has 2.1 GW in operations and boasts an impressive portfolio of 8 GW in projects, with 2.5 GW in an advanced development phase and another 5.5 GW in an earlier stage.

• Based in the HQs in Madrid and reporting directly to the Energy Resource Manager your main duties would be;

Main accountabilities

Measurement campaigns design / follow up / monitoring / data analysis from meteorological masts (wind / solar) or remote sensing methods (Lidar)

Wind & PV Micro-siting, design, and layout optimization (simple and complex terrain)

Wind & PV Energy Yield Assessments

Technical feasibility assessment of onshore wind farms and solar PV Plants

Postconstruction wind farm / solar plants analysis (performance, accomplishment of the measures in the EIA, long-term production estimations)

Energy evaluation communications in the short-term forecast of the projects in operation of programming tools and databases to manage information, measurement equipment and meteorological masts.

Other duties related to the role as required.

Requirements and personal skills

Education: Physics, Engineering or equivalent university degrees (B.Sc. min). Energy related posgraduate programs would also be highly valued.

Experience (years / area)

0-2 years of experience in the renewables sector would be highly desirable. The ideal candidate has to have knowledge regarding AutoCAD and / or other specific wind / solar energy specific programs hence WASP, Global Mapper, PVsyst and / or Surfer

Required Knowledge

Native Spanish and upper-intermediate English. Proficiency in MS Office 365 Suite will be valued (Excel).
