ERNI is seeking an Embedded Firmware Architect in Spain to develop and improve firmware in C/C++ for ARM Cortex‑M microcontrollers, working closely with electronics engineers. You will transform product requirements into working functionality, debug on real hardware and verify behavior against specifications.

The role involves sensor interfaces, instrument communication and collaborating with international colleagues in a hybrid setup with office days in Spain.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Software/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience developing embedded firmware with strong C skills and practical C++ experience.
• Experience with microcontrollers and bare-metal firmware including peripherals, interrupts and timing constraints.
• Ability to investigate hardware–software issues using a debugger, schematics and measurement equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Develop firmware for sensor interfaces, instrument functions and communication with connected systems.
• Bringing up and debugging hardware with electronics engineers using schematics and lab measurements.
• Extend existing firmware and implement new functionality.
• Build tests that verify changes and reproduce faults.
• Investigate issues found during development, production or field.
