Job summary

Springer Nature in London or Madrid is hiring a Commissioning Editor for a hybrid role. You will research, commission and oversee ELT content from concept through handover, coordinating with global teams and external providers to ensure quality and on-budget delivery.

The role requires strong ELT publishing leadership, excellent English, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while developing innovative publishing solutions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ELT markets, especially Pre-Primary & Primary segments.
• Demonstrable ELT publishing experience at project leadership level.
• Solid experience in English language teaching and international contexts.
• Excellent written English and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Understanding of publishing technologies and willingness to learn new systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Content Development team to evaluate and develop material to the project specification.
• Brief internal and external content developers and ensure concepts are upheld.
• Understand digital requirements and support development of digital products.
• Administer contracts for authors and contributors and external editors.
• Collaborate across portfolios to identify opportunities for content reuse.
