Electronics Technician (SmallSats) AVS Added Value Solutions•Elgoibar, Guipúzcoa, bajo deva (comarca), guipúzcoa; guipúzcoa; país vasco, Spain

Descripción del trabajo
About Us

Founded in 2006, AVS Added Value Solutions is a leading high-tech engineering company with 20 years of experience delivering complex, pivotal projects across Fusion Energy, Scientific Innovation, Particle Accelerators, and Space.

Our track record includes three proprietary LUR-family satellites currently in orbit, which have successfully demonstrated the maturity of our platform architecture, subsystems, and LEO operations. Building on this flight heritage, we leverage our modular LUR-100 platform to support demanding institutional missions, including the ESA ARRAKIHS project and the development of the Canary Islands Satellite Constellation (Constelación Canaria).

To drive these ambitious initiatives forward, we are currently scaling our Space Division to advance our SmallSat capabilities.

About the Role

As an Electronics Technician, you will be the hands‑on backbone of our electronics manufacturing and integration processes. You will bridge the gap between engineering designs and flight‑ready hardware, ensuring the highest standards of precision and reliability. Beyond assembly, you will play a central role in the physical execution of our SmallSat programs, acting as a key contributor to the quality and flightworthiness of our modular satellite platforms as we scale our production and integration capabilities in our Vitoria and Elgóibar facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the engineering team in testing electronic assemblies, using laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters) to validate system functionality.
  • Execute high‑precision soldering, wiring, and assembly of complex electronic boards and units (PCBAs) in accordance with aerospace standards.
  • Design, build, and integrate complex cable harnesses and interconnect solutions for space applications.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly and test activities, including non‑conformance logging and component tracking, to support the End Item Data Package (EIDP) process.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory and cleanroom environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are calibrated and ready for mission‑critical tasks.
  • Perform detailed visual and automated inspection of assemblies to ensure zero‑defect compliance with space‑grade quality benchmarks.
What We Are Looking For

We welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds and recognize that great talent comes from various paths. If you meet most of the following criteria, we encourage you to apply:

  • Comfortable operating in a lean, fast‑paced SME or compact team environment where resourcefulness, pragmatism, and hands‑on problem‑solving are essential.
  • Demonstrated hands‑on experience in electronics assembly, including surface‑mount technology (SMT) and through‑hole soldering to high‑reliability standards (e.g., IPC‑A‑610).
  • While space experience is a plus, we are looking for candidates with experience in similarly structured, highly regulated markets such as Automotive, Defense, or Medical.
  • Ability to interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings to guide the physical build process.
  • Practical experience using electronic diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies) and a strong understanding of electronic components.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a disciplined approach to following standardized work instructions and quality protocols.
  • A proactive, team‑oriented mindset with the ability to communicate technical issues clearly and support engineers during troubleshooting and integration.
  • Vocational degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
We Offer
  • This position is based at our Vitoria and Elgóibar facilities, providing a hands‑on environment in our core cleanrooms and laboratories.
  • You will enjoy a flexible hybrid working setup where possible, while collaborating closely with our international teams across borders.
  • We support a healthy lifestyle with flexible working hours and opportunities for professional development.
  • A welcoming onboarding process designed to set you up for success, including the assignment of a dedicated "buddy" during your first few months.
