ICEYE in Valencia, Spain, is seeking a Satellite Production Senior Technician, Electronics, to join our Global Manufacturing Organisation. The role focuses on advanced assembly, subsystem integration, and rigorous testing of aerospace electronics.

You will lead troubleshooting, mentor junior technicians, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and documentation standards, including Jira/MES records. This is a permanent, on-site role offering hands-on engineering work in a high-reliability

Formación

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years in electronic assembly and testing, preferably in aerospace/high-reliability.
• Experience using lab equipment: power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Proven ability to lead troubleshooting and mentor junior staff.
• Proficient English (written and spoken) for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Lead root-cause troubleshooting of build and process issues with cross-functional teams.
• Operate test equipment (power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes) to support testing.
• Document work in Jira or MES and raise NCRs or redlines when needed.
• Review instructions and checklists, provide feedback, and drive safety and tooling improvements.
• Coach junior technicians and share best practices on the team.
• Maintain clean, organized, audit-ready workspace compliant with ESD and safety standards.

Role Overview

Title: Satellite Production Senior Technician, Electronics
Location: Valencia, Spain
Department: Global Manufacturing Organisation
Reports to: Head of MAITE Spain
Type of Contract: Permanent
Working Model: On-site
Employment subject to security screening (incl. SUPO, where required).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced electronic assembly and integration activities including subsystem integration (power, command, data handling), critical soldering and bonding operations, and complex test setups
• Lead troubleshooting of build and process issues, collaborating with Specialists, AIT Engineering, and Quality to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for electronic subsystems
• Operate mechanical and electrical ground support equipment (power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes) to support smooth test operations
• Maintain precise, real‑time documentation of all work performed, recording results in Jira or MES and raising NCRs or redlines where required
• Review work instructions, travelers, and checklists for accuracy, providing actionable feedback for revision and initiating improvement projects in safety, reliability, and tooling
• Act as a coach and role model for junior and standard technicians, providing on‑the‑job training and transferring best practices across the team
• Maintain a clean, organised, and audit‑ready work environment compliant with ESD, safety, and cleanliness standards

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent hands‑on experience in a high‑reliability environment
• 3+ years of practical experience in electronic assembly and test including soldering, harness routing, and PCB handling, preferably in aerospace or a similar high‑reliability sector
• Experience using lab equipment including power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Proven ability to lead troubleshooting efforts and mentor junior staff effectively
• Proficient English (written and spoken) for cross‑functional collaboration

Preferred Skills

• Experience with satellite avionics, power subsystems, and flight‑critical command handling
• Advanced IPC certifications (IPC‑A‑610, IPC J‑STD‑001 Space Addendum)
• Experience with Atlassian Cloud tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Aerospace or space industry background
• Lean and Six Sigma experience
