electrical power, electronic controls, and mechanical systems
in
recycling equipment
This hands‑on role spans the full product lifecycle, from concept design and prototyping up to maintenance.
Location: Pineda de Mar (2‑3 days per week), Mataró (1‑2 days per week), 1 day work from home
Occasional travel required
Lead Electromechanical Design Across Product Lifecycle
– Technical Lead: Drive engineering from
concept and prototyping
through
testing, procurement, design for manufacturing (DFM), safety analysis, and certification; integrate mechanical structures with electrical power and electronic control systems (sensors, actuators, PLCs).
Electrical & Power System Design
– Technical Lead: Perform
load analysis to define power requirements; design electrical distribution systems, cable routing, and connection diagrams; generate BOMs for cabinets/components; troubleshoot and commission systems.
Analysis & Improvement of Facilities Electrical Grid: Evaluate and optimize
low / medium‑voltage distribution networks, power quality, grounding systems, and energy efficiency in industrial facilities.
Technical team Support & Supervision: Provide hands‑on guidance and supervision to electrical and mechanical technicians during assembly, installation, and maintenance.
Cross‑functional Collaboration: Partner with Mechanical and Software teams to ensure seamless system integration and project alignment.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement: Produce technical drawings, specifications, manuals, and test reports; identify enhancements in efficiency, scalability, and cost.
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or equivalent interdisciplinary experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience in automated industrial systems, with proven skills in: Electromechanical integration; Electrical circuit design, cabling, power systems, and troubleshooting; Electronic control (PLCs, sensors, actuators).
Automation implementation: HMI / SCADA, industrial networks (e.g., PROFINET).
Industrial device configuration: frequency drives, sensors, actuators.
CAD proficiency: Onshape (preferred), SolidWorks, or AutoCAD
PLC programming expertise (ideally Siemens TIA Portal).
Strong knowledge of mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing processes (DFM / DFA).
Experience with hydraulic / pneumatic systems.
Familiarity with CE certification processes and EU Machinery Directive.
