Vector Renewables is looking for an Electrical Trainee in Madrid, Spain. This part-time internship involves providing electrical engineering support for projects in the renewable energy sector, including wind and solar.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree and technical knowledge of solar PV plants. Responsibilities include reviewing engineering documentation and supporting the consultancy team as an electrical specialist.

Formación

• Fluent in both Spanish and English.

Electrical Trainee (Open)

Position located in Madrid, Spain. Part-time, Intern (Fixed Term).

Job Description Summary

Vector Renewables, part of the Nadara group, offers professional consulting services in the renewable energy industry across wind, solar, and hydro. The role involves providing electrical detailed engineering reviews and supporting the consulting team worldwide.

Main Responsibilities

• Review detailed engineering documentation for projects under construction.
• Review technical documentation related to electrical and communications issues.
• Perform electrical studies for solar PV plants (and wind farms) worldwide.
• Support consultancy team as electrical specialist during Technical Due Diligence.
• Perform engineering drawings and specifications, e.g., for EPC tendering.
• Engage in advisory activities.

Key Requirements

• Engineering degree in electrical or electronic engineering.
• Technical knowledge of PV plant working principles.
• Technical knowledge of main equipment: PV modules, inverters, transformers, weather stations, and substations.
• Experience using PVsyst and DIgSILENT.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Google Earth.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Driving license.

Desired Requirements

• Experience in design/construction of energy plants and/or substations.
• Technical knowledge of energy storage systems.
• Technical knowledge of energy markets.
• Experience with electrical design software: ETAP and DIgSILENT.
• Experience with wind energy.
