Mott MacDonald is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Power Transmission and Distribution team in a hybrid role across Madrid, Seville, and Barcelona. You will develop HV substation designs, specify equipment, and contribute across project lifecycles while coordinating with major utilities and global clients.
You will work on innovative solutions for energy transition, including energy storage and smart grid initiatives, with opportunities to grow towards Chartered status and
Formación
- Degree-level engineering qualification; Chartered status preferred.
- Experience in power transmission and distribution.
- Experience in HV substation design (110kV–400kV) and HV AIS/GIS specifications.
- Proficient in English and capable of writing technical reports.
Responsabilidades
- Develop primary plant layouts for HV substations.
- Create equipment specifications for HV plant and auxiliary equipment.
- Provide design input across lifecycle stages from feasibility to commissioning.
- Coordinate with client project teams and internal disciplines.
- Deliver projects in new technologies (energy storage, HVDC, smart grids).
- Provide professional services to UK and overseas clients.
