Haskoning in Málaga leads a global data centres team and seeks an Electrical BIM Engineer to design electrical BIM models and coordinate multidisciplinary services for mission critical facilities.

You will work with international engineers, implement BIM workflows, and enhance model coordination using Revit, Dynamo, and Python. A strong engineering background and English proficiency are essential for growth in our global practice.

Formación

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering and related field.
• 4+ years in consulting engineering with electrical building services experience.
• Strong BIM and digital engineering skills with Revit and BIM workflows.
• Experience with Dynamo, Python or Rhino.Inside.Revit to improve design efficiency.
• Good knowledge of CDEs and electrical design software (ETAP, DIALux).
• Excellent English; Spanish preferred and Dutch/German advantageous.

What you do as a Electrical BIM Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres)

As an Electrical BIM Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres), you will contribute to the design and delivery of Mission Critical Facilities projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams under the guidance of the Lead Engineer. Combining electrical engineering expertise with advanced BIM, automation and digital design skills, you will develop coordinated, buildable solutions that meet project objectives, client requirements and industry standards while minimizing rework.

Your Responsibilities Include

• Develop electrical designs and data-rich BIM models, including block and single-line diagrams, while coordinating electrical and plumbing services and ensuring space allocation with other disciplines.
• Coordinate and optimise multidisciplinary BIM models, integrating constructability, maintenance and accessibility requirements, and supporting clash detection and model coordination using tools such as Revit and Revizto.
• Collaborate with international, multidisciplinary teams, Project Engineers and BIM Coordinators to deliver coordinated designs, participate in technical discussions and travel internationally when required.
• Drive digital innovation and continuous improvement by improving BIM workflows, proposing innovative solutions and sharing knowledge across the team.
• Support technical quality and engineering excellence by reviewing junior engineers' and BIM Modelers' work and ensuring designs comply with Haskoning and client standards.

Our global Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team provides a multidisciplinary package of consultancy services for our datacenter clients. We provide strategic, tactical, and operational advice to our clients, including colocation datacentres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Our team consists of colleagues with all kinds of different expertise. For example, mechanical engineering, construction, civil, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, controls engineering, and security technology. Together we use our knowledge and expertise to develop integrated designs for Data Centres.

Besides That, You Have

• A bachelor's degree (Mid-level) or master's degree (Senior-level) in Electrical Engineering, providing the technical foundation to design and deliver complex building services projects.
• At least 4 years of experience in consulting engineering, with strong knowledge of electrical building services and experience on complex building projects; industrial or data centre experience is an advantage.
• Strong BIM and digital engineering skills, including proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows (certifications are a plus), plus experience with Dynamo, Python or Rhino.Inside.Revit to improve design efficiency and automation.
• Experience with engineering and collaboration tools, including Common Data Environments (e.g. Autodesk Forma) and electrical design software such as ETAP, DIALux or DEHN, to support coordinated, high-quality project delivery.
• Excellent communication skills and strong English proficiency (C1 minimum) to collaborate effectively in international project teams and with clients; Spanish is preferred, while Dutch and/ or German are an advantage.
