Job summary

Empresa realidad virtual in Palma is seeking an Educational Leisure Instructor to lead engaging VR/AR workshops for primary students across Mallorca. You will help children explore digital creativity and build computational thinking through intuitive programming and immersive technologies.

The role offers a part-time fixed-discontinuous contract starting in October, with a weekly schedule totaling 8 hours (6 teaching, 2 preparation) across four days.

Qualifications

Job description

Are you passionate about technology, creative learning, and inspiring young minds? A virtual reality company in Palma is looking for an Educational Leisure Instructor to lead engaging extracurricular workshops focused on virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) for primary school students across Mallorca. In this role, you will help children explore digital creativity and build computational thinking through intuitive programming and immersive technologies.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Introducing primary school pupils to programming concepts through virtual and augmented reality experiences.
• Designing and facilitating creative interactive spaces that nurture computational thinking and digital curiosity.
• Conducting 6 hours of hands-on classroom activities per week across three educational centres in Palma.
• Allocating 2 hours weekly for class preparation and workshop planning.
• Transporting the required technical equipment safely to each partner school to deliver the scheduled sessions.

What you bring to the role:

• High school diploma (Bachillerato / Batxillerat) or equivalent educational background.
• A genuine vocation for teaching primary school children along with solid digital competencies.
• B1 level of English or conversational proficiency.
• A strong interest in emerging technologies and educational software (full tool-specific training is provided by the company).
• Relevant qualifications in education, training, or creative arts, or an official leisure monitor certificate (Monitor de Temps Lliure) with at least 12 months of experience, are highly valued.
• Possession of a valid driving licence and personal vehicle is an advantage.

What is offered:

• A part-time fixed-discontinuous contract (contrato fijo discontinuo) spanning 8 months, starting from October.
• A weekly schedule of 8 hours (6 teaching hours and 2 preparation hours), structured as: Mondays and Fridays from 13:00 to 14:00, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 13:00 to 15:00, and Wednesdays from 12:15 to 13:05 (reduced to 4 weekly hours towards June).
• A gross monthly salary of 275 euros, plus an extra monthly bonus payment upon successful completion of the contract at the end of the school term.
