Airbus Defence and Space SAU is seeking an Engineering Quality Manager (EQM) for UAS and the EuroDrone program in Pinto, Spain. You will oversee quality throughout the engineering lifecycle, ensuring compliance with EN 9100, DO-178C/DO-254, and EMAR Part 21/145 frameworks, while driving preventive quality initiatives and audits.

The role requires extensive experience in aerospace quality management, collaboration with development and test teams, and the ability to produce rigorous process

Formación

• Requires degree in engineering or aerospace with relevant quality experience.
• Solid knowledge of EN 9100, AQAP 2310, and aerospace quality standards.
• Experience with DO-178C/DO-254 and ARP4754A is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards across lifecycle.
• Plan and perform audits, process assurance reviews, and quality gates.
• Drive preventive quality measures (Right-First-Time, APQP, FMEA).
• Support and assess technical reviews and cross-functional alignment.
• Create and maintain process assurance documentation (SyPAP, SyPAD, SQAP, HPAP).

Job Description:As Engineering Quality Manager (EQM) UAS and EuroDrone at Airbus Defence and Space, you are responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the entire engineering lifecycle of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and the EuroDrone program. You ensure compliance with quality and development standards, processes, and regulations, contributing significantly to the delivery of reliable and safe products

RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality & Process Assurance:Ensure compliance with aerospace and development standards such as EN 9100, ARP4754, DO-178C, and DO-254Support development, certification, and airworthiness activities in accordance with EMAR Part 21/145Plan and execute audits, process assurance reviews, and quality gatesDrive preventive quality measures (Right-First-Time, APQP, FMEA)Engineering Quality Activities:Monitor requirements traceability and ensure proper allocation of quality requirementsSupport and assess technical reviews and process assurance activitiesCollaborating with development, systems engineering, and test teams to integrate quality throughout the entire product development processTrain and raise awareness among the EuroDrone community regarding quality requirements and processes.Support tool qualification and verification/testing activitiesEnsure conformity documentation and audit readinessFacilitate peer reviews and track quality findingsSystem, Software & Hardware Assurance:Ensure compliant system, software, and hardware plans and development processesMonitor software lifecycle and compliance with DO-178CEnsure hardware process compliance with DO-254Manage non-conformities, deviations, and configuration controlSupporting the qualification of suppliers and subcontractors Documentation and Reporting:Create and maintain process assurance documents such as SyPAP (System Process Assurance Plan), SyPAD (System Process Assurance Dossier), SQAP (Software Quality Assurance Plan), and HPAP (Hardware Process Assurance Plan).Collect and analyze quality data and evidence.Create reports and records for quality assurance activities.

SKILLS

Degree in engineering, aerospace engineering, or comparable Several years of professional experience in quality management, preferably in the military aerospace environmentSound knowledge of quality management standards (e.G., EN 9100, AQAP 2310),Experience with process assurance, software quality assurance, and hardware quality assurance.Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.G., ARP4754A, DO-178, DO-330, DO-254).Knowledge of relevant military aviation regulations (e.G., EMAR Part 21/145) would be a plusExperience with Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and/or large-scale aviation programmes is an advantage.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to understand and interpret complex technical information.Knowledge of conducting audits and reviews.Ability to work independently and structuredFluent English skills in speaking and writing. German or Spanish skills would be a plus
