Thales Alenia Space in Madrid is seeking a PCB design engineer to support the Electrical Engineering hardware team with PCB routing and documentation from inception through release.

You will coordinate PCB design subcontractors, work with mechanical teams to fit enclosures, and collaborate with manufacturing to ensure quality production. A Master of Engineering or equivalent PCB routing experience is required, with a hybrid work model offered.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering hardware team to provide PCB design services.
• Coordinate PCB design subcontractors: selection, documentation, and routing reviews.
• Design to fit enclosures for unit integration in collaboration with Mechanical Engineering.
• Generate Gerber files, layout, routing and assembly drawings from inception through release.
• Ensure delivered services meet customer requirements across projects.
• Interface with design, production, QA, materials and processes teams.
• Support manufacturing to determine best practices for quality production.

Mission:

• Work with the Electrical Engineering hardware team to provide PCB design services.
• Work with PCB design subcontractors through all the subcontracting activities: subcontractor selection, documentation issue, placement and routing reviews, design acceptance.
• Work with the Mechanical Engineering hardware team to design to fit into enclosures for integration into units.
• Work with Manufacturing to determine best practices for quality production.
• Provide all required documentation such as layout, routing, symbol and footprint creation, generation of Gerber files, assembly drawings and other required PCB fabrication files from inception through release.
• For projects and assignments: ensure that services and products delivered to customer meet their requirements.
• Interface with the areas of design, production, EEE, Material & Processes , Engineering, Testing, Quality Assurance.

Education & Qualification:

• You graduated with a Master of Engineering and/or you have significant experience in PCB Routing.
• You think of yourself as a true team-player, though you also demonstrate a high level of autonomy.
• You are very rigorous and analytical, examining logically the steps taken and the outcome to make corrections and produce better results.
• You have a proactive “can-do” mentality and prove to be decision oriented
• You want to delight the customer with effective and compliant solutions.
