ES1 Kardex Sistemas S.A.U. in Madrid seeks an experienced software project manager to lead Warehouse Execution System projects from initiation to go-live, coordinating clients, development teams and internal stakeholders.

You will analyse requirements, translate them into actionable system concepts, ensure quality and schedules, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating with international teams and speaking German and English.

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or comparable technical discipline.
• Initial practical experience in IT or software project management on client projects.
• Experience in industrial, automated or logistics environments is an advantage.
• Knowledge of warehouse systems such as WES, WCS or WMS is a plus.
• Experience working with interdisciplinary and international teams.
• Understanding of software development processes and system integrations.
• Analytical thinking with a structured, solution-oriented approach.
• High self-motivation and willingness to learn and grow professionally.
• Very good written and spoken German and English.

Responsabilidades

• Lead software projects within the Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) from initiation to go-live with clients.

• Ensure project delivery in terms of quality, schedule and customer satisfaction.
• Review and coordinate key documents such as technical and interface specifications.
• Identify opportunities for optimisation and drive continuous improvement.
• Support development of standards, best practices and scalable Kardex solutions.

Your tasks

• Lead software projects within the Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) from project initiation through to successful go-live with clients.
• Act as the key point of contact between our clients, internal departments and development teams.
• Analyse client requirements, advise on suitable solutions and translate these requirements into actionable system concepts.
• Ensure successful implementation of projects in terms of quality, schedule and customer satisfaction.
• Review, edit and coordinate key project documents such as Technical specifications, IT specifications, Interface specifications.
• Identify opportunities for optimisation and drive continuous improvement.
• Support the development of standards, best practices and scalable solutions within Kardex.

Your profile

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
• Initial practical experience in IT or software project management, ideally on projects that have been implemented or rolled out for clients.
• Experience in industrial, automated or logistics environments is an advantage.
• Knowledge of warehouse systems such as WES, WCS or WMS is a plus.
• Experience of working with interdisciplinary and international teams.
• A basic understanding of software development processes and system integrations.
• Analytical thinking and a structured, solution-oriented approach to work.
• High levels of self-motivation, a willingness to learn and a desire to develop both professionally and personally.
• Very good written and spoken German and English.

Working model & travel

• Approx. 10% travel within Europe as part of client projects.
• Residence near one of our German Kardex sites or a willingness to travel accordingly.
