Job summary

Templeton & Partners is seeking a senior .NET developer to lead hands-on design and delivery of high-quality software for electronic trading and pricing workflows in Madrid. The role focuses on a greenfield fixed income solution on AWS and modern .NET tech, with emphasis on reliability and production-grade delivery.

You will own complex platform components, mentor teams, and contribute to testing, observability, and secure coding, collaborating with trading, product and infrastructure partners

Qualifications

• Expert-level C# and .NET/.NET Core experience.
• Strong experience designing, building and supporting ASP.NET Core Web APIs and RESTful services.
• Advanced understanding of multi-threading, asynchronous programming, performance tuning and distributed system design.
• Proven experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and modern deployment patterns.
• Strong experience delivering API-based service-oriented or microservice architectures.
• Automated testing across unit, integration and behavioural levels.
• Experience with messaging and event-driven architectures (RabbitMQ, TIBCO, SignalR).
• CI/CD and source control tooling (Git, TeamCity).
• Agile delivery experience and production reliability focus.
• Experience supporting production systems and incident diagnosis.

As a senior .net developer, you will play a key hands-on role in the design and delivery of high-quality software solutions for electronic trading and pricing workflows. You will be expected to bring strong technical capability, deep practical experience of modern .NET development, and the ability to work confidently on complex platform components. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a new greenfield solution within fixed income electronic trading, built on AWS and modern .NET technologies, with a strong focus on engineering quality, reliability and production-grade delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain high-quality .NET software components across the full software delivery lifecycle.
• Take hands-on ownership of technically complex platform components, ensuring they are robust, maintainable, scalable and well documented.
• Apply strong engineering judgement to architecture, design, implementation, testing and operational considerations.
• Work closely with trading, product, architecture, infrastructure and partner technology teams to deliver solutions aligned to business priorities.
• Contribute to strong engineering practices including automated testing, observability, secure coding, CI/CD and effective release management.

Required Skills

• Expert-level C# and .NET/.NET Core experience, with a strong understanding of object-oriented design, SOLID principles and clean architecture.
• Strong experience designing, building and supporting ASP.NET Core Web APIs and RESTful services in production environments.
• Advanced understanding of multi-threading, asynchronous programming, performance tuning and distributed system design.
• Proven experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modelling, performance considerations and operational support.
• Hands-on experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and modern deployment patterns.
• Strong experience designing and delivering API-based service-oriented or microservice architectures.
• Strong discipline around automated testing, including unit, integration and behaviour-driven testing using tools such as NUnit, Moq and Cucumber.
• Extensive experience with messaging and event-driven architectures using technologies such as RabbitMQ, TIBCO, SignalR or equivalent platforms.
• Strong experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery and source control tooling such as Git, TeamCity or equivalent platforms.
• Practical experience working in Agile delivery teams and contributing to software lifecycle improvements.
• Experience supporting production systems, diagnosing incidents and improving reliability, monitoring and operational readiness.

Preferred Skills

• Fixed Income product knowledge, ideally including electronic trading, pricing, RFQ workflows or market connectivity.
• Experience configuring and improving continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Hands-on experience designing or operating solutions on AWS.
• Experience with cloud-native observability, infrastructure as code or automated deployment tooling.
