CSIC's Control and Habit Lab invites applications for a motivated PhD candidate to join the team and study behavioural, neural and computational mechanisms of cognitive control and habits.
The project combines behavioural experiments, neuroimaging and causal neuromodulation (TMS, ultrasound) to explore basal ganglia roles in adaptive control and habit formation, including disruption in disease contexts.
In the Control and Habit Lab (FPU AEI-funded programme) we are looking for a motivated PhD candidate to join our lab!
The PhD will explore the behavioural, neural and computational mechanisms underlying cognitive control and habits, combining behavioural experiments, neuroimaging and causal neuromodulation (TMS, ultrasound, and related approaches). We will investigate the role of the basal ganglia and related brain systems in the adaptive control of habitual behaviour, as well as how control and habitual behaviour are disrupted in disease.
