CSIC's Control and Habit Lab invites applications for a motivated PhD candidate to join the team and study behavioural, neural and computational mechanisms of cognitive control and habits.

The project combines behavioural experiments, neuroimaging and causal neuromodulation (TMS, ultrasound) to explore basal ganglia roles in adaptive control and habit formation, including disruption in disease contexts.

Qualifications

  • Candidates with an excellent academic record (Bachelor’s average around 9/10)
  • Background in Neuroscience, Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields, with a strong interest in cognitive neuroscience and human behaviour.
