Job summary

Almirall is seeking a Principal Investigator, Project Leader to guide scientific strategy and execution for a discovery or development project in dermatology. You will integrate biology, chemistry, translational and clinical inputs, framing hypotheses and steering cross-functional teams to decisive, data-driven choices.

You will publish and present findings, ensure robust documentation, IP awareness and compliance, while managing budgets and timelines across CROs and internal teams.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant scientific discipline with strong postdoctoral/industry experience.
• 6–8+ years in drug discovery/development with demonstrated project leadership.
• Track record of impactful scientific contributions and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define scientific strategy and deliverables for assigned project(s).
• Design and oversee experimental plans and interpret results.
• Lead cross-functional teams (biology, chemistry, DMPK, tox, CMC) and manage external collaborations.
• Present findings to governance and maintain rigorous data documentation.
• Contribute to publications, patents and scientific engagement with KOLs and partners.
• Manage budgets and timelines; identify risks and implement mitigations.
