NSI, based in Barcelona, seeks a seasoned Head of Global Sourcing to lead procurement of organic ingredients and build international supply chains. You will drive supplier partnerships, negotiate terms, and optimize cost and quality across regions.

The role requires 40% travel, expert market analysis, and collaboration with Sales, Product Development, Quality, Operations, and Finance to ensure compliant, sustainable sourcing aligned with business goals.

Formación

Minimum 10 years of experience in commodity trading with a focus on organic food ingredients.
Experience sourcing at least one commodity or product category aligned with NSI's portfolio.
Proven success developing suppliers and sourcing programs across multiple regions.
Extensive experience with agricultural commodities, markets, negotiations, and forward pricing.
Strong commercial instincts with ability to identify sourcing opportunities.
Excellent negotiation skills with proven outcomes.
Understanding of landed costs, freight, tariffs, FX, and supply chain risk.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional relationship-building and cross-functional leadership.
Willingness to travel internationally ~40%.

Responsabilidades

Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for NSI's strategic raw materials.
Build new global supply chains to gain competitive advantage and support product innovation.
Identify, qualify, and develop strategic suppliers across key regions.
Lead commercial negotiations for supply agreements and forward-buying strategies.
Monitor commodity markets, crop conditions, geopolitical events, and freight and currency dynamics.
Provide actionable market intelligence and pricing recommendations.
Develop supplier diversification to mitigate geographic and geopolitical risks.
Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships through international travel and events.
Partner with Sales, Product Development, Quality, Operations, and Finance.
Implement supplier performance management including KPIs and scorecards.
Ensure suppliers meet food safety, quality, sustainability, traceability, and regulatory requirements.
Report to the VP of Procurement.

Ensure suppliers meet food safety, quality, sustainability, traceability, and regulatory requirements
Report to the VP of Procurement

Requirements

Minimum 10 years’ experience in commodity trading, with a focus on organic food ingredients
Experience sourcing at least one commodity or product category aligned with NSI's portfolio
Demonstrated success developing suppliers and sourcing programs across Africa, India, Southeast Asia, and/or South America
Extensive experience with agricultural commodities, commodity markets, supplier negotiations, and forward pricing strategies
Strong commercial instincts and ability to identify sourcing opportunities
Excellent negotiation skills
Strong understanding of commodity economics, landed costs, freight, tariffs, foreign exchange, and supply chain risk
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills
Willingness and ability to travel internationally approximately 40% of the time
Bachelor's degree required in Business, Economics, International Trade, Supply Chain, Agribusiness, or a related field
Experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems and sourcing analytics tools preferred
Professional proficiency in English required
Spanish proficiency strongly preferred
Candidates must be willing and able to travel to NSI's Barcelona office a minimum of twice per month
Candidates must be flexible with their work schedule to collaborate across multiple international time zones
