The Hoxton Poblenou in Barcelona seeks a Finance Manager to lead hotel finance operations, ensuring robust controls and accurate reporting. You will manage the finance relationship with Operations and head office, while supporting the General Manager in financially steering owner relations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in hotel finance, strong Spanish accounting knowledge, and a methodical, solution-oriented mindset. Fluency in Spanish is essential for this role.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure strong Financial Management within a robust control environment.
• Be responsible for accurate accounting records and financial reports for the Hotel.
• Manage Finance relationship with Operations and hotel head office ensuring excellent service.

• Lead balance sheets, P&L, cash management and capital.
• Provide focused management reporting and analysis.
• Deliver high quality management information and performance measurement.
• Ensure benchmarking and balanced scorecard reporting.
• Optimize and develop systems to improve efficiency and information.
• Ensure training for users and streamline processes.
• Lead planning and forecasting for the Hoxton Poblenou and align with strategic objectives.
• Support hotel strategic planning and value opportunities.

The Hoxton Poblenou in the city of Barcelona is our 11th Hoxton. The hotel boasts 240 bedrooms of different sizes, a large restaurant Four Corners with The Slice shop and La Bodega, a rooftop pool and our taqueria Tope, a bright and airy lobby, a multi-functional basement events space and The Apartment (our unique meetings & events concept).

Four Corners brings the energy and attitude of New York with quick slices of thick crust, Detroit-style pizza at The Slice Shop or lighter Italian-American inspired dishes, perfect for a long lunch or dinner that rolls into late-night cocktails and natural wine.

Tope is our rooftop taqueria with views over Barcelona, serving Mexican-inspired flavours and punchy cocktails.

What You'll Do…

• Ensure strong Financial Management within a robust control environment.
• Have ultimate responsibility for accurate accounting records and provide financial reports for the Hotel. The Hotel is operated on a self-accounting basis and includes statutory accounts.
• Manage the Finance relationship with Operations and Finance at hotel and head office ensuring that an excellent service is provided through quality input.
• Manage the relevant elements of our owner relationship including support the General Manager in managing the owner relationship from a financial perspective, attending Owner meetings and preparing relevant materials
• Lead all elements related to balance sheets, P&L, cash management, capital, amongst others.
• Provide focused, innovative and value-adding Management Reporting and Analysis.
• Deliver high quality management information and performance measurement that is accurate and relevant.
• Ensure reporting that incorporates benchmarking, identification and measurement of key performance indicators and use of balanced scorecard.
• Optimize and develop Systems to improve efficiency and information.
• Ensure training takes place for users; challenge processes to eliminate non-value adding tasks.
• Work with colleagues to ensure that errors are corrected at source and processes amended as required, eliminating rather than correcting errors.
• Lead the Planning and Forecasting process for the Hoxton, Poblenou and ensure that financial plans are consistent with the strategic objectives.
• Pro-actively support the General Manager and lead the finance team in Hotel strategic planning, focusing on value opportunities.

Requisitos

What We're Looking For…

• 5+ years of hotel finance experience, ideally already in a Finance Manager/Financial Controller role.
• Strong knowledge and experience of Spanish operating requirements from an accounting perspective.
• Technical skill, with a strong understanding of compliance requirements, best practice hotel operations, finance function set up and standard systems.
• A balance a methodical and process-driven approach and flexibility and creativity when it comes to meeting deadlines and finding solutions.
• Being a qualified accountant would be an advantage.
• Spanish language would be essential.
