Panthr is seeking a high-level technology leader to serve as the first technology hire, reporting to the leadership team. You will define the technology and data vision for the fund and its portfolio companies, balancing hands-on coding with architectural leadership.

You will join an initial team of senior engineers, shape the platform foundation, and drive the broader technology vision in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.

Formación

• 8–10 years in CTO or senior technology leadership roles.
• Experience co-founding or leading startups.
• Strong background in data, system architectures, and operational AI processes.
• Experience scaling tech teams in scaleups.

About The Role

This is a high-level technical leadership role, reporting directly to the leadership team and collaborating closely with peers across the organization. You will not only lead internal technology initiatives but also design and implement technological capabilities that directly impact portfolio companies. You will join an initial team of senior engineers and will be the first key technology hire, shaping the foundation of the platform and the broader technology vision. This role requires a hands-on, strategic, and operational leader who thrives in fast-moving, high-impact environments.

Your Responsibilities

Short-term (0-6 months):

• Define the technology and data vision for the fund and its portfolio companies.
• Build the core data and AI platform, balancing hands-on coding with architectural leadership.
• Lead the existing senior engineers and begin forming small, high-performing squads.
• Implement methodologies for integrating technology in non-tech-native companies.
• Support portfolio companies in critical technology initiatives, including diagnostics and setup.

Medium-term

• Develop a technology playbook for portfolio companies to scale capabilities effectively.
• Establish "satellite" teams within portfolio companies, leaving structured processes in place.
• Scale data and AI processes pragmatically, focusing on real-world impact rather than research experiments.

General

• Operate as a senior, autonomous technology leader with full ownership of execution.
• Translate complex technical challenges into actionable solutions that drive measurable results.
• Embed technology as a core strategic lever within the organization, not just a support function.

About You

• 8-10 years in CTO, Head of Engineering, or equivalent senior technology leadership roles. Experience in scaleups, high-performing tech teams, or operationally intense environments is essential.
• You have co-founded or led startups, demonstrating ownership, independence, and execution excellence.
• Strong background in data, system architectures, and operational AI processes (scaling AI is a plus). Coding skills remain sharp, but your value is in vision and execution.
• Leadership: You have built and grew teams, implemented methodology, and scaled technology across projects and companies. Comfortable leading small squads in fast-changing environments.
• Intellectual Curiosity: Globally minded, adaptable, and constantly learning from diverse projects and markets.
• Able to embed technology in less tech-native organizational cultures, aligning technical vision with strategic goals.
• You focus on building capabilities and delivering results rather than personal branding or storytelling.
