Business Development Lead | Metric Bio | CDMO & Clinical Supply

Metric Bio is partnering with a PE-backed, high-growth temperature-controlled storage and air-freight forwarding company to support their strategic expansion across Europe. We are seeking two Business Development Directors who will act as true hunters, driving new customer acquisition and building our client’s European presence from the ground up.

Location: Remote, Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a pure hunter, proactively identifying, targeting, and securing new business across the European life sciences market.
  • Lead commercial expansion for temperature-controlled air freight and high-touch logistics services.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline focused on pharma, biotech, CDMOs, CROs, and clinical trial supply organizations.
  • Drive full-cycle sales activities: prospecting, qualification, presentations, solution development, proposal negotiation, and close.
  • Leverage an existing life sciences network to open doors quickly and accelerate revenue growth.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth onboarding and exceptional customer experience.
  • Represent the company at conferences, client meetings, and relevant industry events to elevate brand visibility.
  • Deliver consistent year-over-year growth, meeting or exceeding revenue and new-logo acquisition targets.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of business development experience in temperature-controlled logistics, air freight forwarding, clinical supply, or life sciences transportation.
  • Proven new-business hunter with a track record of building pipelines and closing complex, high-value deals.
  • Strong understanding of European cold chain, life sciences logistics, and specialized freight markets.
  • Existing relationships across pharma, biotech, CROs, CMOs, or clinical trial supply organizations preferred.
  • Experience selling premium, time-critical, or high-compliance air-freight solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Highly entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-growing, PE-supported environment.
