Gartner seeks a Director of Software Engineering to lead attendee-facing mobile and web platforms for Gartner conferences. You will guide end-to-end delivery, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability for senior leaders across industries.

You will wear three hats—strategic leader, team architect, and capability builder—building autonomous teams, nurturing talent, and aligning product strategy with business goals. Willingness to travel up to 30 days/year is required.

Formación

• 12+ years in software engineering.
• 4–5 years in engineering leadership.
• 3+ years leading teams of 15+ engineers.
• Experience with high-scale, external-facing platforms.
• Proficient in .NET (preferred), Python or Java.
• Cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to travel up to 30 days per year.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end delivery for attendee-facing mobile and web platforms, overseeing architecture, roadmap prioritization, and quality assurance.
• Ensure timely, high-quality releases aligned with conference calendars and business goals.
• Partner with stakeholders to define and communicate product strategy and translate capabilities into business outcomes.
• Set and track clear, measurable success metrics for platform performance and user satisfaction.
• Continuously evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance customer journeys.
• Build and empower a high-performing engineering team through recruiting, coaching, and development.
• Foster an inclusive, accountable culture with clear communication and mentoring.
• Distribute leadership and define autonomous ownership areas within the teams.
• Collaborate with product management, event operations, marketing, and data teams to align delivery with goals.
• Present platform strategy and progress to senior leadership.
