Within the Barcelona School of Economics, the Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the
development and execution of BSE ́s students acquisition strategy for their respective product
vertical through digital marketing.
What will you do?
- Be an expert of their product vertical ́s target (sociodemographics, needs, expectations, behaviours, interests, media consumption, etc); overall and by course/program. Run
necessary research in conjunction with Comms Specialist to obtain relevant information.
- Define and execute marketing campaigns on all channels relevant to their target (Google
Ads, Meta, Marketplaces, Emailing, SEO, etc) taking into account all stages of the marketing funnel (lead generation, lead nurturing, retargeting, alumni, etc) and generating the assets needed (e.g. creatives for paid social media and emailing).
- Monitor, analyze, and report on campaigns performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google
Analytics, SEMrush, HubSpot or similar):
- Define and monitor KPIs through adequate reporting on a daily / weekly / monthly / yearly basis, at total level, by channel & by course/program.
- Optimize campaigns to improve ROI, conversion rates, and audience engagement.
- Liaise with internal and external collaborators to understand performance, make recommendations and take corrective actions where needed.
Share relevant reports to stakeholders (Management, Program Directors, etc).
- Participate in yearly forecast.
- Control budget & make adjustments where needed.
- Coordinate the design and creation of all campaign materials with Communications: banners, headers, videos, carousels, etc.
Ensure correct campaign tracking on all platforms (e.g. Analytics, Tableau).
- Lead all technical acquisition aspects of the website (e.g. submission forms, CTA, landings, cookies, analytics) and integration with our CRM.
- Lead CRO and A/B testing initiatives.
- Investigate and test potential of new courses/programs (volume forecast, competition).
- Control competition ́s acquisition strategy and keep up-to-date with latest acquisition trends & platforms; make recommendations for BSE improvements.
What do you need to succeed?
- Comprehensive knowledge and hands‑on experience with all digital marketing channels, including: SEO/SEM, Google Ads, Social media platforms (LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, X, etc), PPC, email marketing, marketing automation, content marketing, UX of the website
- Strong understanding of content marketing and lead generation strategies.
- Proficiency with vast array of tools, including: GA4, Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, Looker Studio, Google Ads, Social Ads, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver) or similar, AI/automation
- Experience with WordPress and HTML is a plus.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheet knowledge.
Your experience:
- A university degree with specific training in digital marketing is required.
- Advanced English speaker.
- Experience: minimum 4–5 years of experience related to the position.
- Data-driven analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Highly proactive and results‑oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, combining creativity to produce engaging content, and great attention to details.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in cross‑functional teams.
- Knowledge of the international higher education sector is a big plus.
