Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space SAU in Getafe, Spain, is seeking a Digital Operation Manager to lead the Data Integration team. The role focuses on delivering reliable data integration services across divisional facilities, aligning with ITILv4 practices.

The candidate will oversee service health, incident management, patching, licenses, and security for data platforms, working with data engineers and solution architects to ensure robust pipelines and data quality.

Qualifications

• University degree in IT-related field such as Computer Science, Data Science or similar.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Service Health and ensure incident management with SLAs.
• Lead RCA for incidents within perimeter.
• Manage patching and security papers validated by architects/security engineers.
• Oversee data integration projects and EIS for Data Integration.
• Handle Change Requests and license renewals for data platforms.
• Be the main contact for external service providers.
• Collaborate with data engineers and architects to improve pipelines.

Job Description

A position for a Digital Operation manager has just arised within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe, Spain. The successful candidate will join TDDT Data Integration team. As a Digital Operation Manager in the Data Integration area you will take responsibility for guaranteeing the right Data integration service is delivered in the Divisional facilities, in relation to existing data interfaces done using our transversal and transnational Integration Platforms/Products. The successful candidate will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of IT service following all the best practices recommended by ITILv4 framework. Additionally, you will guarantee that the ecosystem related to Data Integration platforms in the Divisional area will be maintained up to date and therefore will monitor, patch and guarantee the security implementation of the company rules to safeguard our key ecosystem from potential breakdowns and/or malicious attacks.

Main tasks

• Monitoring Service Health through existing automated tools and routines, with key focus on incident management, guaranteeing pipelines performance and service level agreements (at platform and data object level via data contracts)
• Metrics definition for good service support level in case of external service in place
• Lead RCA for associated problems to her/his perimeter of responsibility (local or divisional)
• Manage patch implementation, including security white papers validated by the Data Integration Solution Architects and/or our Data Security Engineers
• In charge of all EIS of all Projects related to Data Integration, following existing methodology and counting on development done either internally or externally
• Manage minor modifications associated to Data Integration in service flows demands via Change Requests
• Renewal of licenses and certificates in the Data Integration product/platforms under his/her perimeter (local or divisional)
• Being the main single point of contact towards external service providers in relation to operational activities.
• Collaboration with data engineer and solution architects of the team, to resolve data quality issues and continuous improvement of pipelines ecosystem

• Security standards and policies up to date in all our data integration platforms(ex: certificates, vulnerabilities, access ...)

• Licensing monitoring (including related products such as antivirus)
• OneCompass up to date in relation to IS instances of all Data Integration Service components in the local area

Skills & Competencies

• University degree in IT related field such as Computer Science, Data Science or similar
• Existing Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one would be a plus
• English negotiation level
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Over 5 years of relevant work experience as a DataOps Engineer or in the field of Operation Management
• API based services technologies and cloud architecture On Prem experience would be mandatory
• Extensive experience in relation to ITILv4 principles and IT Service Management hands on
• Problem solving methodologies knowledge (PPS, 5whys, ...) and person with key attention to detail.
• Experience in Heavy usage of Docker and Kubernetes to isolate data environments
• Experience in developing technical and support documentation, translate business requirements and needs into reporting and models
• Experience in querying and managing both relational and NoSQL databases
• Advanced knowledge on DevOps methods and tools is a must, with key focus on CI/CD and version control (ex: Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins ...)
• IT project management basic knowledge, waterfall and agile
• System Administration experience in relation to Windows and Linux environments would be really appreciated
• Basic knowledge about Data Analytics
• Basic knowledge about Data Governance and Data Lineage would be a plus
• Basic knowledge in building ESB and/or ETL/ELT solutions/integrations for large scale data pipelines (on-premises) would be a plus
