Job summary

Deutsche Telekom IT Spain in Valencia is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to advance our automated, scalable runtime stack within a cross-functional team. You will contribute to modern DevOps practices, including GitOps, IaC on AWS, and CI/CD pipelines, while collaborating with development teams in an English-speaking environment.

Responsibilities

• Work in one of our expert groups (Flocks), e.g. API or AWS Platform engineering.
• Ensuring application quality (Prod QA).
• Technical E2E incident analysis/troubleshooting.
• Root cause analysis (system + infrastructure errors).
• Sustainable Operation (SRE experience).
• Application maintenance & support incl. on-call.
• Disaster recovery and high availability.
• Close collaboration with development teams (Continuous Improvement).
• Learn new technologies and share knowledge.

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team, the core strategic projects of the Deutsche Telekom AG. The cross-functional team works closely with the development teams on their journey to DevOps. In our team, we aim for automation and slick solutions to provide a modern and stable runtime stack. In our culture we strive to create a start-up atmosphere in the enterprise.

We are working within a lean and automated approach using modern technologies and methods like GitOps, Infrastructure-as-a-Code on AWS, CI/CD and, of course, Agile. The project language is English.

We are looking for a candidate with DevOps mindset and familiar with or interested in learning one or more of these technologies:

• AWS Platform engineering (EC2, EKS, Lambda, Route53, RDS, ..)
• Containerization, K8s, EKS
• Automation
• Infrastructure-as-Code (Pulumi)
• CI/CD (Gitlab, ArgoCD)
• Microservice Architecture (APIs)
• GitOps
• Scripting (Python, golang, bash, sql, ...)
• Monitoring (ELK, Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana, ...)
• Linux, VMs
• PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis
