Job summary

Jobgether's partner company is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and maintain secure Azure-based infrastructure for global services. The role focuses on Azure services, IaC, CI/CD, and IAM integrations across Entra ID, Google Workspace, and Okta.

You will work with distributed teams to enhance deployment efficiency, reliability, and security, with opportunities to explore AI-powered automation in a fully remote, international tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or STEM field or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of DevOps or cloud engineering experience.
• Experience developing scripts, tools, and automation for provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and operations.
• Strong Azure knowledge including AKS, Log Analytics, Function Apps, Data Factory, Databricks.
• Practical experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery practices.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Terragrunt for infrastructure as code.
• Strong expertise in identity providers and access management (Entra ID, Google Workspace Identity, Okta).
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML 2.0, and related integrations.
• Experience managing identities, RBAC, and policies across hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Entra ID, GPOs, and enterprise identity administration.
• Ability to design health checks, monitoring, logging and observability.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a DevOps Engineer based in Spain.

The DevOps Engineer will help design, automate, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure that supports business-critical applications and data-driven services. In this role, you will work extensively with Microsoft Azure, infrastructure-as-code tools, CI/CD pipelines, and identity and access management solutions to improve deployment efficiency and operational reliability. You will collaborate with software delivery teams and technical stakeholders to streamline workflows, resolve complex infrastructure issues, and strengthen system performance. The position also involves implementing monitoring solutions, maintaining production and development environments, and ensuring alignment with security standards and risk controls. You will have opportunities to explore emerging technologies, including AI-powered automation and agentic tools, to modernize DevOps practices. Accountabilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available, resilient, and scalable cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft Azure and reliable service delivery.
• Develop automated provisioning solutions for applications and infrastructure, improving consistency, efficiency, and deployment reliability.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and digital delivery workflows using Azure DevOps and other relevant DevOps tools.
• Configure and manage identity and access management integrations across Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, and Okta, ensuring secure authentication and authorization.
• Administer Single Sign-On (SSO), federated identity, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), user lifecycle management, directory synchronization, and role-based access control.
• Support and maintain customer-facing production systems as well as quality assurance and development environments, ensuring availability and operational stability.
• Develop and maintain scripts, tools, and automation solutions for deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and infrastructure operations, incorporating AI-powered and agentic technologies where appropriate.
• Monitor system health, performance, availability, and security, identifying potential issues and coordinating timely resolution.
• Investigate incidents and service requests, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans for internal teams and clients.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including infrastructure architecture, server build procedures, configuration standards, and operational guidelines.
• Collaborate with software engineers, system administrators, database specialists, and customer teams to resolve technical challenges and improve service delivery.
• Manage infrastructure risks and support compliance with ISO 27001 controls, protecting information assets and maintaining effective security and control structures.
• Identify opportunities to optimize infrastructure performance, information access, operational costs, and resource utilization through continuous improvement and FinOps practices.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and approaches that enhance cloud operations, security, automation, and system maintainability.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a technical or STEM-related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a closely related role.
• Experience developing scripts, tools, and automation solutions for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and operational management.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, including services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Log Analytics, Function Apps, Logic Apps, Storage Accounts, Synapse Analytics, Analysis Services, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks.
• Practical experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery practices.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Terragrunt for infrastructure as code.
• Strong expertise in identity providers and access management technologies, including Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace Identity, and Okta.
• Understanding of authentication and federation standards and protocols, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML 2.0, and Auth0-related integrations.
• Experience managing user identities, directory synchronization, role-based access control (RBAC), and access policies across hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and enterprise identity administration.
• Ability to design or implement system health checks, performance monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and the broader web services technology stack.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and deliver reliable solutions.
• A customer-focused mindset, creative thinking, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams to establish priorities and drive technical improvements.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines, independently or as part of a team.
• Fluent English, with the ability to communicate effectively in an international working environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, AI concepts, Python, Azure AI Foundry, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Conditional Access policies, or FinOps practices is an advantage.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern cloud-native technologies is beneficial.
