Job summary

Ashby is seeking a Design Engineer who can both design and code, shaping the UI/UX of a complex talent-advertising product used by over 100,000 weekly users. The role blends design and engineering, with emphasis on shipping features and evolving the in-house design system.

You’ll own design and implementation across frontend components, collaborate with product managers, recruiters, and engineers, and contribute to a scalable product used by notable customers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of continuous experience as an Engineer or a Designer.
• Experience designing products and shipping code to hundreds of users.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and CSS.

Responsibilities

• Redesigned the mobile web app by talking with customers, wireframing flows, implementing design system, and turning wireframes into a polished UI.
• Built flexible, composable components in the design system to enable consistent setup wizards.
• Improved information hierarchy and scannability of design for viewing candidate assessments.
