JDL Recruitment is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a France-based joint venture, overseeing end-to-end accounting, reporting and governance. The role requires hands-on leadership across statutory requirements and international shareholder reporting.

With 10+ years in finance and a CPA/CA/CIMA type qualification, you will manage an outsourced provider, drive process improvements, and shape the roadmap for potential in-house finance operations as the JV

Formación

• 10+ years’ progressive finance/accounting experience.
• 5+ years in a senior Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Head of Finance position.
• Strong experience across financial control, statutory reporting, tax and governance.
• Fluent French and strong English communication skills preferred.
• Understanding of French accounting/statutory requirements.

A leading data center developer is establishing a new France-based joint venture and is looking to appoint a Senior Financial Controller to lead the finance function through its next stage of growth.

This is a senior, hands-on finance leadership role, working across French statutory requirements and international shareholder reporting.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end finance, accounting and reporting cycle
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close and management reporting
• Oversee French statutory accounts, tax, VAT and audit requirements
• Manage and govern an outsourced accounting service provider
• Establish robust financial controls, governance and processes
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial performance reporting
• Support shareholder, Board and management reporting

• Develop the roadmap for potentially bringing finance operations in-house as the JV scales

What we’re looking for:

• 10+ years’ progressive finance/accounting experience
• 5+ years in a senior Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Head of Finance position
• Strong experience across financial control, statutory reporting, tax and governance
• Strong understanding of French accounting/statutory requirements
• Professional accounting qualification – CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA, DSCG or equivalent
• Fluent French and strong English communication skills preferred
• Comfortable operating in a lean, start-up environment with significant ownership and autonomy
