Job summary

TSL is looking to hire two Design Coordinators in Spain to support the design coordination of Data Centre projects. One CSA – Architectural profile and one MEP – Mechanical/Electrical profile, each with 2–4 years of relevant experience, to work closely with Design, Construction, BIM and ACC teams.

Responsibilities include developing and coordinating architectural or MEP design information using AutoCAD, reviewing drawings and interfaces, and ensuring buildable, technically compliant designs

Qualifications

• Experience in CSA / Architectural Design or Design Coordination within construction projects.
• Strong understanding of architectural detailing within the wider CSA scope.
• Ability to review and develop architectural drawings, layouts, sections and construction details.
• Good understanding of CSA / MEP interfaces and constructability.

About the Role

We are looking for two Design Coordinators (2–4 years of relevant experience) to join our Design team in Spain, supporting the development and coordination of design across our Data Centre projects.

We are looking for two different technical profiles:

• Design Coordinator – CSA (Architectural Focus): focused on the architectural and detailed construction elements within the CSA scope, including internal spaces, finishes and detailed interfaces rather than major civil or structural works.
• Design Coordinator – MEP (Mechanical or Electrical Focus): focused on the development and coordination of Mechanical or Electrical design, depending on the candidate’s technical background.

Both positions will work closely with Design, Construction, CSA, MEP, BIM, Commissioning, specialist subcontractors and consultants to ensure design information is coordinated, technically compliant, constructable and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

CSA – Architectural Focus

• Develop, review and coordinate architectural design information within the CSA scope using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate detailed elements including internal walls and partitions, ceilings, doors, finishes, façades, roofing and internal spaces, as applicable.
• Review drawings, layouts, sections and technical details to identify coordination and constructability issues.
• Coordinate CSA / MEP interfaces, including openings, penetrations, builders’ works and fire stopping.
• Review specialist subcontractor, consultant and supplier design information.
• Support the resolution of technical queries, RFIs and design changes.

MEP – Mechanical or Electrical Focus

• Develop, review and coordinate Mechanical or Electrical design information using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate drawings, layouts, schematics, service routes, equipment and associated technical information.
• Coordinate MEP interfaces with CSA and other disciplines, ensuring services are fully integrated within the project design.
• Review specialist subcontractor and supplier design information.
• Identify and support the resolution of technical, coordination and constructability issues.
• Ensure design considers installation, access, maintenance, testing and commissioning requirements.

Common Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary design information throughout project delivery.

Requirements

CSA – Architectural Profile

• Experience in CSA / Architectural Design or Design Coordination within construction projects.
• Strong understanding of architectural detailing within the wider CSA scope.
• Ability to review and develop architectural drawings, layouts, sections and construction details.
• Good understanding of CSA / MEP interfaces and constructability.

MEP Profile

• Experience in Mechanical or Electrical Design / Design Coordination.
• Strong technical knowledge within the relevant MEP discipline.
• Ability to review and develop drawings, layouts, schematics and technical information.
• Good understanding of MEP / CSA coordination and constructability.

For Both Profiles

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience coordinating consultants, specialist subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or similar project information platforms.
• Revit and BIM coordination knowledge is highly desirable.
• Strong coordination, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good level of English.
• Experience in Data Centres, mission-critical or technically complex projects would be advantageous.
